About Invaders Basketball
Invaders Basketball is a competitive youth basketball program dedicated to developing skilled players, strong teammates, and confident young athletes.
Our program was built around a simple belief: youth basketball should be about more than just playing games. We strive to provide players with quality coaching, purposeful training, competitive opportunities, and an environment where they are challenged to continually improve.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help young athletes reach their potential through player development, teamwork, discipline, accountability, and competition.
We emphasize basketball fundamentals while teaching players how to understand and play the game the right way. Practices are designed to develop shooting, ball handling, passing, defense, conditioning, basketball IQ, and team concepts while preparing players to compete successfully in game situations.
More Than Basketball
While we want our teams to compete and win, development comes first.
We believe some of the most valuable lessons in youth sports happen beyond the scoreboard. Players learn how to:
- Work hard and compete
- Be accountable to their teammates
- Respond positively to coaching
- Handle adversity and mistakes
- Communicate and play unselfishly
- Build confidence and leadership
- Respect teammates, coaches, officials, opponents, and the game
Our Approach
Invaders teams participate in competitive league play, tournaments, practices, skills training, and development opportunities throughout the year.
Our coaches focus on creating an environment where players are challenged appropriately for their age and ability while still enjoying the experience of playing basketball.
We also believe team chemistry matters. Consistent practices and committed players allow teammates to learn how to play together, trust one another, and develop relationships that extend beyond basketball.
Our Commitment to Families
Youth basketball is a commitment for the entire family. We strive to communicate clearly with parents regarding schedules, expectations, costs, and opportunities while creating an organization families are proud to represent.
Invaders Basketball is operated through DuPage Valley Sports Collective NFP, a nonprofit organization committed to providing youth athletes with opportunities to learn, develop, compete, and grow.
